Again.

Assalam and Hi!

How are you? Alhamdulillah, I am all good! :)

This is a random post really. I was on my way back in the train with my GP-mates, when they started to ask me so many questions regarding Islam out of curiosity. There were two of them. I am the only one moslem who was trying my best with Allah's help to give the best possible answer. I found it quite tricky especially with my lack of knowledge and also, with the language barriers. It was all started when my moslem friend was telling us that she is going to Mecca for umrah next week during the GP placement but she was not there when this whole Q&A took place, since she drove back home from GP.

I just listed them out so that I could seek someone's help or try to prepare a better answer for next time. insyaAllah. If someone has some opinion on these questions, please help me out, yeah? Please.

\\

I really want to write more. But seriously, my time. I do not have much time really.Been quite busy lately. Tapi please siapa yang ada opinion, tolong eh. Thanks ! :)

Salam najah. This may be a long one so bear with me. oh. and this remains only as my humble opinion

1. being muslim of choice is definitely an advantage if u compare this option to the other. this question i think can be molded but using a different religion as well. for example "born as a buddhist or chose buddhism as a religion?" etc. in addition, choosing islam, requires a person to understand islam deeply as choosing a religion is not an easy matter.

2.A religion set certain boundaries in life. for example Islam prohibiting alcohol and getting drunk. although self-restrain may be enough for some people, the boundaries set by religion is ultimately defined by God himself. Ultimately those who fail to follow these boundaries will be punished by God.

3.In Islam, the hereafter is the period of 'life' muslims are aiming for. therefore, in this period of life, all forms of hardhsip, may it be poverty, disease, relationship problems & etc. is a form of test and a chance to prove how loyal are we, muslims to our Allah. How much we love the hereafter instead of the world.

4.this question stomped me good. I don't know how to answer this. sorry. but so far, it is stated in the holy Quran and it has been passed onto since our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. (I know this is not a good answer. I'm sorry)

5. Whether God is pleased with us can be only by God himself. In my opinion, measurement exist so that we can compare ourselves to each other. when measurement of how much extent are we pleasing Allah is hidden, we can continue to strive to please Allah as much as we can. Measurement can result in complacency.

6. There is an ayah' in the Holy Quran in Surah Waqiah (I cant remember which verse) but the message was, in the end of time (akhir zaman) there will be more bad people than good. people who dont adhere by the Quran and Sunnah. These people chose to ignore the Quran and Sunnah. They are slaves to their desires (this world, now) and maybe have yet to understand the true meaning of Islam. May Allah guide them Ameen.

7.the technology nowadays is by the courtesy of the human brain. humans, I believe are not descendants of the ape. I believe that our fathers are the Prophet Adam. Adam, was created by God. (I have no scientific evidence on that, sorry. But it is stated in the Holy Quran and I believe that if we track down human history, we should find the first man who ever lived.)

8.I have covered myself for several reasons. Firstly this is an order directly from Allah. The reason why women of islam cover their body more is because they dont want to encourage men to ogle at them and fantasize about their bodies. Secondly, failure to cover our aurah will cause our fathers and husbands to be punished in Hell in the hereafter. This is because, women (daughters and wives) are responsibilities of men and it is their job to educate us and make sure we cover our aurah properly. In fact, since men are responsible for their wives and daughters, all the more reason for us not to add their punishment by sinning in this world.

9.Parents, will want the best for us, now and in the hereafter. a good parent with a good islamic fundamental will be upset since their child have gone astray. Islam is the true deen, the true religion. The way of life. There is no other religion that can lead a person to the best there is in life. It is only logic for a parent to feel upset when their child have chosen to drop the best way of life for another.

10.Before the creation of man, Allah created the Angels and when he told the Angels that He would create man, the Angels said something like this to Allah. But then Allah replied, "for He knows what we (Angels) do not". Again, the poverty and illness might be a test on earth. the bad and good people are a measure of how many people would give up their desires on earth for a better hereafter. How many people will give up their desires only to adhere to Allah's heeds and warnings. Only those who love Allah dearly will be loyal to Him and please Him.

InsyaAllah. this is what I have come up with. it is not adequate I know, but it is an opinion nonetheless. hope this helps
